This tutorial is basically for detecting the templates name and author a fellow blogger is using. so let’s get into the details of the tutorial.

Step 1 :You have to check and identify If the blog is hosted on Blogger or not ?

For this purpose i will recommend using a cool free online tool known as buildwith. It so simple all you have to do is simply open up buildwith.com and paste the link of blog in order to find what content management system it is using.

Now simply Click on lookup, if that blog turns out to be using other content management system like my blog which is hosted on blogger.
Better still you can also check if a blog is hosted on blogger or WordPress by following the guidelines below:


Blog can be identified by checking its permalinks or by viewing the source code of any page of the particular blog.

If you find terms like “wp-content” and “wp-includes” and some other terms with prefix wp in source code, then the blog is on WordPress.
If you don’t find them in source code, then the blog is on  Blogger platform.
Now after confirming the blog hosting platform, follow these steps.


Step 2 : How To Detect Blogger Template Name And Author

Remember as i said earlier there is no exact way to find which theme or template a blogger’s blog is using, but here we have to be creative and think wise, mostly all custom theme providers give information about their template in the source code of the template, so that it can be very easy for other webmasters to track back to, and know about their template. So today we will try to check out the source code of blogger’s blog, for this tutorial i will be using Google Chrome, but you can also do this on any web browser.

Open your browser and type in the blog address you want to check it's template, for instance let say the blog address is http://www.idea4novice.blogspot.com
Right click and click on “View page source” or you can press “Ctrl + u”
New window will open up, now press “Ctrl + f”
Now type words like “Blogger Template” , “Blogger Theme”, “Blogger Template Style” etc & press “Enter”
Now read info about blogger template to find it’s name and the author.

But if you are blogging with your mobile device and you don't have access to a computer or laptop. As we all know most mobile browser don't have the view page source, Don't panic all hope is not lost I also blog with my Samsung galaxy A9 Android device so I will share with you how you can easily view the page source of any webpage and site.

How To Detect WordPress Them Name And Author.

Follow the below steps if the site is hosted on WordPress Platform.
Load the site and copy the URL of the site.
Log on to WPThemeDetector on your browser.
Paste the copied site URL in the given field ( Site to check ).
Click on “Experience the magic of WPTD” to perform theme detection.

You will find the theme name and website link for theme.


Search and download the theme and apply for your blog.

To improve and for proper interaction and connection with the readers on your blog, it’s  extremely good to have a forum running on your blog. It provides a platform for the readers to interact between themselves thereby increasing your blog popularity and readers. Having a forum is Very good. Isn’t it? But, how can I set up a forum on my blogger blog?, Well, it’s pretty simple! In this article, I’ll show and guide you to easily set up and embedded a free forum on your blogger blog.

1. Firstly to begin with sign in to your blogger dashboard create a new page by clicking on pages on your dashboard.
Now, give the page a title for instance  “Forum” and publish the page. You may leave the content part empty. Now, look out for the address bar. Just copy and save the URL to your clipboard.

2. To add a forum we will use Nabble which is, in my opinion, one of the best free options available online. First, go to the Nabble page to create an account (bear in mind that this account will be the forum moderator).
On the registration page provide the real information about your site, it's title and website URL will be required.
Next go to "Options" -> "Application" -> "Change appearance":

There, you can also edit the CSS of the forum and style it to your taste, among many other features.

The next thing is to create the structure of a real forum so that it is organized by categories. To do this, click on the "Options" menu - select "Application", then click "Change application type":

Then, choose the Forum category and save your changes.

Now, we only have to create categories. So go back to "Options", this time select "Structure" and then choose "Create a new sub-forum":

Fill in the details of the category, and that's it! You will now have your forum up and running

For adding the newly created forum to your blog, you must choose the options menu at the top and hit the “Embedding Options” to get the script. Copy the javascript codes to your clipboard.

3. Next, navigate to “Design >> Edit HTML” from your blogger dashboard and search for the following code.

It is very easy to integrate Google Analytics on Blogger,  just follow few steps listed below;

Step-1: Sign-up/Log-in to Google Analytics

Log into your Google Analytics account. If you do not have a Google Analytics account then go to google.com/analytics and click Access Google Analytics then click Sign Up on the next page.

Step-2: Fill-up the Information and Create a Google Analytics Property for your Blog

If you are new and don't have an Analytics account then the next page Titled New Account, click Website in what you like to track; Select Universal Analytics, Fill-up the information below and insert your blog/website URL then click Get Tracking ID and then Accept.


If you already have an account in Analytics then Click Admin. On the Property section of that page click on the drop-down menu then click Create new property. Now you should also click Website in what you like to track; Select Universal Analytics, Fill up the information below by inserting the blog/website URL then click Get Tracking ID.

Step-3: Copy the Tracking Code

Go to Admin in Google Analytics.
Select your Account and Property that you have just created in Step-2.
Under the section Property click Tracking Info > Tracking Code.

You will see the tracking code is given. Copy it.
Step-4: Add Google Analytics Tracking Code in Blogger Template

Go to Blogger dashboard > select your blog > Template,
Open the template editor by clicking Edit HTML.
Search for the</body> template editor.
Paste the Google Analytics Tracking just before the </body>.

Click Save Template.
That’s all, you have finally integrate Google Analytics in your  Blogger blogs. Just wait for few minutes you will see your website data on Google Analytics Reporting section.

There is another way of adding the Google Analytics Tracking code to the Blogger blog. Even though it is done from the Blogger dashboard, it will not use the new Universal Analytics.

Go to Blogger dashboard > Select your blog > Template > click Edit HTML. On the template editor searches for: –

If you cannot find it in the template, then search for </body> and paste the above code just below it and click save template.

Now go to Blogger dashboard > select your blog > Settings > Other > Google Analytics > Paste your Google Analytics Tracking ID (find it/created in step-2 & 3) in the text box (Analytics Web Property ID) > Click Save Settings button on the right-top corner of that page.
If you follow this method (path-b); the tag<b:include> should be in the template or you will not be able to use Google Analytics for your blogger.

That's all, Now enjoy the Google Analytics service for your blog. If you ever forget your tracking ID for the site or it happens that you change your blogger template, you don't have to register new analytics account just log into the Analytics site, click Admin, click the drop-down menu on the Property section and you should find it here; if not click the name of the of the property and click Tricking Info > Tracking Code.
