The University of Ibadan was established in 1948 and is a public institution of higher learning located in Ibadan, Oyo.

2.  Ahmadu Bello University (ABU)

 Ahmadu Bello University was founded in 1962, it is a public higher education institution located in Zaria, Kaduna. Has a campus in kongo and It is officially accredited by national universities

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) was established on 1 January 1988 by the Federal Government of Nigeria as a specialized university with a triple mandate of teaching, research and professional services.

The university has 351 academic programs consisting of 30 undergraduate programs, 321 graduate programs that include 31 postgraduate diploma programs, 152 master's programs, and 138 doctorate programs. It is one of the three (3) agricultural universities in Nigeria.

FUNAAB runs a fast-track academic calendar and their tuition fees range from 18,250 – 45,000 depending on the college, department and level. Students approaching their final year usually pay less compared to first-time university entry. 4. Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) 

Obafemi Awolowo University was established in 1962, it is a public tertiary institution located in Ile-Ife, Osun. It is accredited by the National Universities Commission, Nigeria.

The University of Lagos was founded in 1962 and is a public higher education institution located in Lagos. Officially accredited by the National Universities Commission, Nigeria, the University of Lagos (UNILAG) is very large with an enrollment range of 35,000-39,999 students. It is one of the most competitive universities when it comes to admission.

The main campus of Unilag is located in Akoka, Yaba, Lagos State, while the medical campus is called the Faculty of Medicine. It is a few kilometers away from the main campus in Idi-Araba, Surulere.
